Meet Dr. Qudrat Mohammed

Dr. Mohammed completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Honours at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in 2013 and graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree from Inter American University of Puerto Rico in 2017. As a student in Puerto Rico, Dr. Mohammed became fluent in Spanish, on top of also being fluent in Hindi, Urdu, and English. This was helpful for him as he spent 6 months doing volunteer eye exams in remote areas of Puerto Rico where health care was difficult to access for those living in those areas.


As an optometrist, Dr. Mohammed is licensed to prescribe medication for any eye-related illnesses. His special focus is in dry eye care, and managing myopia in children. Dr. Mohammed is also certified in orthokeratology, a specialized contact lens worn overnight to correct nearsightedness.


Outside of his professional activities, Dr. Mohammed enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with his wife and sons.
